Sunday 21st August - A morning of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
An afternoon of therapeutic relaxation & postures, theme Mooladhara Chakra visualisation and meditation

This morning workshop will be a dynamic practice based on the primary & intermediate series of Ashtanga Yoga with safe adjustment.
We will include Sanskrit counting and breath awareness to focus the mind.
The morning will focus on coming into our bodies through Ujiyi Breathing, and connection to what is already here.
We will work through the ashtanga yoga series, with gentle adjustment and modifications to allow the body to safely get into the postures.
Postures will include Standing, Balance, Twists & Inversions with modifications for all.
The afternoon will be looking at the fist chakra Mooladhara - for all other chakras to work we need the base, root to be grounded, we will investigate this through therapeutic restorative yoga, mostly seated or lying down, we will work with colours, Bija Mantra hand mudra’s and postures - using cushions, bolsters, belts, eye pillows, candles and relaxing music - end with a meditation on the Mooladhara chakra taking you deep ito relaxation.
There will be a home made vegetarian lunch provided with home made cakes and herbal teas.
After lunch there will be time for a leisurely stroll by the river.
Bring suitable foot wear and clothing.
A little knowledge of yoga is useful, but beginners are always welcome.
Jill has studied safe adjustment with numerous teachers and would love to share this knowledge with you.
She will teach safe alignment with lots of modifications, gently working with injuries and tightness of the body, and mind.
This day will be well paced, breaking off into a workshops, to break postures down, and most of all - Fun!
Included in the day will be Vedic Mantra’s, guided Pranayama, Meditation, and Yoga Nidra.
