Long Weekend of Yoga, Gong
& Deep Relaxation
13th & 14th November 2021
10.00am - 4.00pm
Information about the weekend
This weekend retreat will be a time to get away from the everyday busy lives that we all lead.
We will mindfully allow ourselves to be right here in the present, alive moment by moment, and through yoga, mindful meditation, Pranayama, and yoga nidra. We will notice how we become immersed in the drama around us and forget that our lives unfold moment by moment.
Each day will start with Yogic breathing exercises to encourage the mind and body into the weekend. An Introduction to Pranayama followed by a dynamic yoga practice, suitable for all bodies, working with a different theme each day.
These two days will be like a holiday for your mind and body.
Day One Journey into the physical body including guided meditations, Kundalini Mantra, visualisations and relaxation. We will flow into postures with sounds and colours.Working to balance the whole body.
Day Two we will work into deeper postures, taking a Yin approach. We will look at effective adjustments and support to safely allow us all to try these postures. Yin Yoga is a beautiful, restorative practice, working with the the Chinese form of natural, energy medicine, opening our Meridian channels to allow a healthy flow of Qi into the body. After a Yin class you can feel a similar vibration as you might after an Acupuncture or Shiatsu session as the energy channels in the body, comes into balance and harmony with each other.
This workshop is for all bodies and all abilities, and complete beginners as so welcome.
This emersion into yoga will allow us to find balance and strength on and off the mat.
“Ageing agelessly with minimal effort".
Beginners always encouraged.
The weekend will include Pranayama, guided seated mindful meditations, Yin Restorative postures, Kundalini Kriya, & Mantra’s mindful walking meditations, Yoga Nidra, body scan meditations and a long guided yogic sleep, (shavasana) with the divine sounds from the gong to end each session.
After lunch each day we will enjoy optional guided silent walking meditation, (outside weather permitting), followed by Yin restorative yoga postures with the aids of bolsters, cushions, eye pillows, guided visualisation and mindful meditations.
There will be a different theme each afternoon. We will enjoy afternoon tea and cake and a final yogic sleep.
