40CYTT
To be able to teach children and be insured with this qualification. You must either be a RYT200HRS or be on a training course recognised by YAP Or a nursery school teacher or similar.
Insurance: once you have completed the course and graduated you can be insured as a specialist yoga teacher for £148 a year. With YAP This means you’re not capped on how many hours you can teach children for. If you have already qualified with your 200 hours you can upgrade for £49 to be insured as full yoga teacher... then the yearly renewal is £148.

Our training school has met the stringent requirements set by Yoga AllianceProfessionals demonstrating that our courses are of the highest standard and that our graduates may use the title ‘ Registered yoga teacher children’RYTC40 as a sign of quality training when they register themselves with Yoga Alliance Professionals.

Once you have completed your Diploma our graduates will be able to apply for their insurance with Yoga Alliance Professionals and be fully insured to teach Children’s Yoga at any location using our diploma:

Before the training you will be asked to prepare a 40 minute presentation/ lesson plan using your chosen topic which you will deliver on the last weekend. You will be asked to observe two classes preferably by going to a class currently running in your area or an online class. This should be approximately 4 hours of your time before the course starts.

Be prepared to practice and learn to teach children’s yoga while laughing, dancing, playing and singing!

Pre requisite
You must already be a RYT200 Yoga Teacher or be currently on a RYT 200hr teacher training course or teacher of children in a school setting or a midwife and have at least two years experience of yoga or similar to be insured by the Yoga Alliance. Anyone is welcome to do this course without the above qualifications, but insurance will not be obtained. Please note: individual cases can be discussed.

Course Content
Over the course we will develop yoga principles in specific ways to teach different age groups.All the content will be delivered through games and stories with postures and advice on lesson planning.

Topics included:
  • Physical and cognitive development for each age group
Baby-toddler- 2- 3 / 4-6/ 7- 8 / 9-12 & teens
  • Learn how to develop class lesson plans and teach interactive classes for each age group above and class management.
  • Introduce fun ways to meditate, use pranayama and breathing exercises, through story telling, games and fun activities.
  • Combining this with games and movement to develop co-ordination, creative expression and motor skills.
  • Kundalini Yoga for children.
  • Children’s Anatomy introducing this through games.
  • Covering the legalities, DBS, Insurance, setting up your first class, and marketing.
