MBSR Mindfulness Meditation - 8 Week Course
Objectives for the course include:
Establishment of a daily meditation practice. Cultivation of mindful awareness through several different types of mindfulness practices. Recognition of negative patterns of reactivity triggered by stressors, and the development of alternative responses to stress.
All the course materials will be provided.
This will include a book with an audio CD, and note handouts.

Week One: Mindfulness of body & Breath
Week Two: The body Scan
Week Three: Mindful movement
Week Four: Body & Breath
Week Five: Sounds & Thoughts
Week Six: Exploring difficulty
Week Seven: Befriending
Week Eight: Mindfulness a way of life.
What to expect:
Each week we introduce the topic and discuss in our group last week’s topic, which enables you to chat and discuss with like-minded people your experiences and achievements in a safe space.
We will do meditations, body scans and deep relaxation every week helping you find Mindfulness in this Frantic world.
Each week there is a set meditation for you to do at home with hand outs and the audio for you to practice between weeks.
You will receive a handout manual on each course in weekly modules.
For you to keep and use as 'A life resource'.
This is very informal and sharing and chatting is encouraged.
We end each session with a guided practice lying down and seated meditations,
or breathworks which will be your home practice for the following week.
You are welcome whether you are completely new or a seasoned practitioner.
